Reminder For Today:
“Rejection is the greatest gift in business” - Spencer Lodge
In Today’s Issue…
Your selling mentality won't be the same again after this newsletter.
I get a podcasting lesson from the Middle East's number 1 host.
This guy spoke to Steven Bartlett, Gary Vee, Mo Gawdat & James Smith.
As some of you know, we have a podcast that we’ve built from scratch, documenting our journey on LinkedIn and Instagram every week.
BUT
I had a powerful realisation a few months ago when I released my biggest podcast production yet and someone on LinkedIn said he never knew I had a podcast of my own!
Unbeknown to him, he helped me more than he’ll ever know.
I had 5+ messages last week on a similar vein (not knowing we had a pod), lots of people asking to be guests and the most downloads on one episode we’ve ever had.
I thought everyone knew I had a podcast..
I thought I’d shouted it from the rooftops..
I thought I might be annoying people..
WRONG!
The podcast has been out for over a year, went into the top 5 in the charts in 9 countries, hit number 1 when released, has over 50 episodes with some of the best entrepreneurs and experts out there, and has awesome download stats..
..but I’d done it a disservice.
I should shout about it more.
The feedback from this episode has been awesome and propelled it to new levels.
Why?
We improved the content quality and promoted it twice as much as usual.
What did we learn and what can you action?
Ask yourself:
How often am I actually ‘selling’, talking about the results of my service or promoting my ‘thing’? Or am I just posting content and hoping someone will reach out to me?
Do I follow a strategy for my content that caters to the different stages people who follow me are in? For example, someone who’s never heard of you, someone who knows you but has not purchased from you, someone who has bought and loves you?
Is it easy for someone to buy from you? Is the journey from realisation to receipt as flowing as it could be?
The biggest realisation is, if you think you’re talking about something enough.. you’re not.
Talk about your ‘thing’ more and react to the audience.
If you get unfollows, it means the people who were there just didn’t like the offer, if no one buys it means the offer isn’t perfect.
Be fearless: action gains traction!
