Now is the easiest time there has ever been to stand out online with your marketing.
Why say that in a newsletter about marketing and business strategy?
Because I want you to know that it is 100% possible to be known for what you do and have people come to you for advice, expertise, help and more.
I went to an event this week in Downtown Dubai and met a few tech start up founders,
I wasn’t there to meet them specifically but as we do have a very early stage tech start up of our own (separate to Healthy Entrepreneur), it was cool to mingle with them,
And if we can help with their strategy or personal brand, all the better!
One of the guys spoke passionately about his start up,
It’s an incredible app that cost a fortune to build and has amazing capability,
Obviously I thought..
This guy must know his audience super well to have created this app; so I asked the question: how will you acquire customers?
He said, I have no idea, I’ll get to that bit later…
I was a little bit stunned,
You could tell I was because I missed my mouth with my glass of diet coke!
I said, “so you’ve built an app without speaking to your ideal clients or understanding how you’ll get customers?”,
At this point I assumed he had a mega personal brand he could launch it into,
He didn’t,
Maybe a background in tech and the industry he’d created a solution for?
No.
I have no doubt this guy will be a success, he’ll find his way and he knows where support is if he needs it,
My point is, the key is to become visible and credible or master visible credibility,
And to do that, you’ve got to show your value clearly,
To do that, you’ve got tell stories,
Nail your stories and you’ll stand out online!

💡SpaceX tested their Starship rocket, which will eventually transport humans to Mars. It didn’t end that well, but it’s one to watch! Why is this relevant to us? Well, who owns SpaceX? Elon Musk. And who has one of the most active & energised followings in the business world? The same man. We can learn a lot from the marketing methods used to drive the worlds most innovative group of companies!
💡 James Hoffman, the most followed coffee expert was on Diary of a CEO podcast to speak about the effects coffee has on our health, economy and even our nations! This is well worth a watch as he delves into the marketing strategy of coffee shops and gives one clear takeaway: community builds wealth.
💡 The Christmas ads have started already! Which one has been most effective so far? ….. I’m sure you could guess….it’s Coca Cola, followed closely in the UK by Aldi. So what can we learn from this for your Christmas content? Use emotion, keep things familiar and utilise the family aesthetic if you can! Think about what people want this time of year…here’s a clue - it’s more than presents!
