LEARN
THIS IS WHAT YOU ARE HERE FOR

The principle I learnt whilst speaking in Abu Dhabi at the weekend. I’ve spoken before on TV, radio, podcasts, but this was my first paid event and this is what I learned:

  • Preparation is Key: The importance of thorough preparation before stepping onto the stage cannot be overstated.

  • Know Your Audience: Understanding who you're speaking to allows you to tailor your message effectively and connect with your audience on a deeper level.

  • Confidence is Crucial: Confidence in yourself and your message can significantly impact how your audience perceives you and the value of your speech.

  • Engagement Matters: Keeping your audience engaged through interactive elements, storytelling, or thought-provoking questions enhances the impact of your presentation.

  • Feedback is Valuable: Embrace feedback, whether positive or constructive, as it provides valuable insights for improving your speaking skills in the future.

ACTION
NEXT STEPS

Action gains traction, so you’re going to speak this week. Whether its to your team, your friends or family.

Speak about anything - just put your thoughts out there, start a debate or deliver an update. We’re going to speak more because it’s the best way to find clarity of mind. Challenge people on their subjects and be intentional.

PODCASTS & BOOKS
LISTEN AND RECOMMEND

Last week I read Psycho-Cybernetics and had a break through - It suggests that by altering our self-image, we can change our attitudes, behaviours, and ultimately, our outcomes in life. The book emphasizes visualisation, goal-setting, and positive thinking as tools for personal transformation and achieving one's full potential.

Highly recommend!

ASK THE HEALTHY ENTREPRENEUR

Question: What’s the best way to hone in on my marketing narrative?

Answer: When we start with clients we always ask them the same question, “If I put you on stage in 6 months time in front of 3,000 people what would you talk about” - that’s as good a place as any to begin to work your marketing voice from.
