Let’s talk about a pet peeve of mine: the refusal to invest in personal development.
Honestly, I have little respect for those who choose to stay stagnant.
There are tons of free online resources out there, sure, but if you’re serious about levelling up, you have to invest some time, money and commitment.
Here’s what I’ve learned:
Growth isn’t free.
1. Yes, free resources exist, but they’ll only get you so far. Real progress? That comes when you invest in yourself.
2. Surround yourself with go-getters. Being in entrepreneur groups has shown me that the environment is everything. Spend time with people who push themselves, and you’ll find yourself pushing too.
3. Learning is as essential as cash flow. Every book, every course, every mentor is a tool to help you grow your business. But let me offer a word of advice: don’t hop from mentor to mentor like a kid in a candy store. Find one Sensei, learn everything you can, and stick to their advice.
Trust me, I used to live with that scarcity mindset.
Spending on myself? Forget it.
Now, I see it differently.
It’s the price of moving forward.
Staying stagnant just isn’t an option anymore.
While we’re on the topic of growth, let’s discuss your marketing strategy for 2025.
The year is drawing to an end quickly. It’s time to refresh your marketing strategy to stand out from the crowd.
Here are 4 tips to keep in mind:
1. Ditch the sales pitch: Audiences are over hard sells. Instead, share a story about how your product or service genuinely helped someone.
2. Be the brand that sticks. In a world full of cookie-cutter brands, you want to be memorable. Tell stories that align with your audience’s experiences.
3. Simplify the complex. Got a product or service that’s hard to explain? Break it down with a well-crafted story. If your audience can understand and relate to what you’re offering, they’re far more likely to engage.
4. Spark emotion. Emotion is the magic ingredient. Whether it’s through laughter, nostalgia, or inspiration, stories that tug at emotions make your brand feel human and relatable.
2025 is all about standing out, getting recognised, and making a lasting impact.
Whether it’s investing in yourself or revamping your marketing approach, growth requires action.
