Stop trying to force connections.

No one likes a networking ninja who’s just there for the sale.

  • LinkedIn lessons you can actually use.

  • A simple system to keep your brand growing.

Let’s talk about networking. Real connections happen when you’re not trying to force them.

Running a podcast has shown me this in ways those awkward networking events never could.

When you focus on the value of real conversations, incredible things happen.

Here’s what I learnt through my podcast:

1. Guests on my podcast bring perspectives I’d never considered.

2. Credibility grows when you host leaders who inspire trust.

3. Every chat is an opportunity to explore collaborations.

4. And sometimes, an unexpected partnership emerges from nowhere.

Turns out, the best networking happens naturally when people share and learn from each other.

So, how does this play into LinkedIn?

LinkedIn has become more than just a professional hangout.

For B2B founders, it’s your pitch deck, portfolio, and networking hub rolled into one.

If your profile doesn’t shine, those investor eyeballs will move on faster than a bad PowerPoint presentation.

Some simple ways to make your profile work for you:

1. Headline: Highlight what you’re all about in a way that grabs attention.

2. Photo: Professional, but approachable, this isn’t a passport picture.

3. Summary: Be concise and focus on what makes you unique.

But what about the content?

Creating content on LinkedIn shouldn’t feel like a chore.

Forget about generic motivational quotes that blend into the noise.

Your audience wants to hear your voice, see your story, and understand your experiences.

Here’s how I make content work:

1. I share my journey. People connect with authenticity, not perfection.

2. I engage with my network. Comments and conversations keep me visible.

3. I use feedback to refine my posts. Every low performing post is just another lesson.

Building authority comes from showing up consistently and offering real value.

If you’re looking for a system that works, this one has helped me grow my brand (and keeps our clients happy):

- Monitor what’s working and what’s not. Numbers tell a story, listen to them.

- Learn from dips in engagement. They’re opportunities, not failures.

- Reposition your messaging every few months to stay relevant and fresh.

It’s a cycle that builds credibility, trust, and engagement over time.

So, remember, LinkedIn doesn’t have to be overwhelming.

The trick lies in showing up as yourself, offering value, and building real relationships.

Whether you’re connecting through a podcast, posting regularly, or just leaving thoughtful comments, it all adds up.

So, here’s your action plan:

Refresh your LinkedIn profile.

Post something meaningful this week.

Engage with your network, because every comment is an opportunity.
