I prepped, showed up, gave loads of value...
And then literally nothing happened.
Turns out, most founders make the same mistakes I did back then ā¦even the 6 and 7 figure ones.
Here are the 6 we see the most:
Saying yes to the wrong shows. If your audience isnāt listening, thereās honestly no point. Weāve seen people spend hours on shows with zero relevance ..just to say they were "on a podcast."
Having no offer. Value is great. But if there's no clear next step for listeners? They're gone. Your content needs a path.
Playing it too safe. When was the last time a polite, agreeable guest went viral? Challenge a belief. Take a stance. Sit OFF the fence! Give people a reason to remember you.
Winging the conversation. No soundbites? No stories? No hooks? No chance.
Doing nothing with the episode. One interview should create 20+ pieces of content. Most founders post once (maybe) and then forget it ever happened.
Never following up. You just had 45+ minutes of a potential client listening to your voice. No follow up = revenue left on the table.
