There are 2 types of podcasters...

Which one are you?

TLDR:
There are two types of people trying to get on podcasts:

  1. The ones who mass blast cold emails.

  2. The ones who take 5 extra mins to write something relevant, thoughtful, and sharp (and get booked like clockwork)

If you’re in camp one, this newsletter is going to hurt.
If you’re in camp two, it’s going to make you dangerous.

The only savings system you need to get rich in a broken economy | Jason Graystone

Most people chase money. Few build freedom. In this episode, Freddie Pullen sits down with Jason Graystone to show entrepreneurs how to rethink marketing, sales, and what it really means to live a life on your terms especially in a broken economy.

Let’s walk through a proven, battle-tested strategy to ensure no one ever puts you on their podcast.

Seriously - works every time.

Step 1:
Open Gmail.
Don’t overthink it. You’re a busy person. Founder. Visionary.

No time for research.

Step 2:
Type up one gloriously vague paragraph about how much you “love the host’s vibe” and how you think your story would be a great fit.

(Don’t mention which episode. Don’t mention why. That’s for losers who prepare.)

Step 3:
Change the name at the top.
Maybe.
If you remember.

Step 4:
Hit “send all” and blast that baby to 137 podcast hosts who didn’t ask.
Sit back.
Open ChatGPT.
Ask: “Why is no one responding to my pitch?”

💀

Listen…

That “spray and pray” cold pitch nonsense might’ve worked back when podcasts were still being recorded on Nokia 3310s.

But now?

The host holds all the leverage.

Let’s say a podcast drops one episode a week.

That’s 52 golden spots a year.

Now picture that same host getting 52+ pitches a week.

That’s over 2,700 people trying to squeeze into 52 seats.

And your pitch says:

“Hey! Loved your last episode. Would love to collab.”

That’s not a pitch.

It’s going straight to the archives.

But here’s the good news:

Most pitches are absolute bin juice.

Which means if you send one that’s:

  • Actually relevant

  • Clearly thought out

  • Short enough not to trigger a scrolling spasm

  • And shows that you give a sh*t about the audience...

You’re already in the top 5%.

Forget volume.
Get your value right first.
Then scale like a weapon.

Podcast pitching isn’t a numbers game.
It’s a respect the mic game.

The host has built the audience.
They protect it like it’s their baby.
And they don’t care how many followers you have if you can’t deliver for their listeners.

So what do you do?

Entertain.
Educate.
Challenge.
Inspire.

Volume without clarity? Spam.
Volume after value? Growth.

Choose wisely.

Or don’t.

I’ll be here, opening another cold pitch that starts with

“Hey [NAME], big fan of your show.”

Freddie
